So It's been a while since I've posted anything, it's tough to stay in the habit of posting things on a blog. If anyone following me on here also pays attention to my youtube videos, here's how the current upload schedule works for the most part.
I try to upload at least one video a day, as a minimum, and it's always going to be an episode of something. Occasionally there may also be a collection of shorter clips instead, in the form of highlights or a funny moment clip. Right now the current things I have going are playthroughs of the Witcher 2, and Metro 2033. I'd say both of those are about two-thirds of the way complete, and I'll never try to do more than 2 or 3 ongoing playthroughs at once. However I like to keep several going at once, because it gives me something to do in case I get tired of one game and I can switch between them. Also there is of course episodes and little mini series I do with friends, an example of those are the GTA IV and Portal 2 episodes. Those basically get uploaded whenever we manage to get together and play for more than an hour. It's tough sometimes since we all have work or school to deal with, as well as different time zones for a few of us.
And speaking of work, right now the holiday season has died down at work so I'll be getting less hours. Most likely it will be just the weekends for now, until the next holiday period comes around, so I'll have more time during the week which is good for when school comes around but bad in the fact that right now I'm pretty much doing nothing between work shifts. I might end up looking for a second part time job, depending how many classes i take this semester and how long it takes for more shifts to open up at my current job.
Other thing I wanted to mention, since getting caught up with my school payments I did manage to get some new computer parts which have been long overdue for the most part in my opinion. For the longest time I was recording my videos with a GTX 460, which isn't a bad video card by any means, but the specific card I had did not have the full 1 GB of video memory. Made playing some games like BF3 and Witcher 2 impossible on highest settings because there was just not enough memory to handle ultra textures. Anyways I gave in and bought a new video card, only cost me 300 dollars, so now I'm using a EVGA GTX 560 Ti Limited edition. The neat thing about this card is that it has more processing cores than a regular 560 and over 1.2 GB of video memory so it basically performs as fast as a 570 video card, possibly a 580 reference card when overclocked. And this video card is a beast, it's meant for overclocking although I really don't have an interest in doing so as it already plays all my current games on max settings, even BF3. So now that the video card is out of the way my pc is fairly solid now for gaming, I even upgraded to 8 GB of memory which is a big increase compared to 4. Only thing left to replace is my outdated Phenom II X4 840 as well as the motherboard. Probably a new motherboard first, so I can space out some of the cables that are being blocked by my enormous video card.
Anyways, for now I'm gonna try to put more time into youtube stuff this upcoming week as well as keep things relatively current here on the blog. If you guys have any suggestions for content you want to see on the channel or even here on the blog, just drop me a note somewhere and I'll do my best to make it happen.
